Progress taking shape.

We’re about halfway through framing and are setting Flexicore panels for the elevated back porch. We could have built a traditional deck here, but by using these panels we’re able to create a solid base for pavers instead. It also allows us to waterproof the structure, creating a dry, usable space below while giving the porch above a more durable, low-maintenance finish.

The goal for this home was simple: When you walk in, it should feel like it’s always been here.

Timeless details that create an old world feel and make the home feel established from day one.

Every build starts long before the foundation.

On wooded lots like this, preparation is everything. Access, utilities, drainage, sight lines. Nothing happens by accident.

We’re intentional about every tree that comes down. How it’s dropped - how it’s cut -where it goes next. Some are repurposed -some are milled -some find a second life through trusted partners.

Building well starts with being intentional from day one.

We just got back from the International Builders’ Show, and this marks our 25th year attending.

Why do we keep going?

To recharge.
To stay sharp.
To keep learning.

In this industry, the moment you think you’ve seen it all is the moment you fall behind. Staying curious and constantly improving has been one of the keys to our longevity in custom home building.

Swipe through to see a few of our favorite vendors, products we continue to trust, and some unique ideas that caught our attention this year.

Never finished learning.

This one was a beast.

Late summer pour. 200 plus yards of concrete. Walls reinforced with #6 and #5 rebar throughout.

Weeks of engineering, layout, coordination, and on-site oversight before a single truck showed up. This is the kind of work you’ll never see again once the home is finished, but it’s what everything else depends on.

Final stretch. Finishes are coming together and the final look of this home is really starting to come into focus.

When designing a space, it's important to think about how it will be lived. This sunroom, just off the kitchen, is the perfect place to begin your day with a cup of coffee or end it by the fire. A warm stone fireplace, reclaimed timbers, and a rustic mantle make it both cozy and timeless.

Start your morning at this beautiful soapstone sink, now the stunning centerpiece of this kitchen. Choosing soapstone is definitely a commitment, but its unique charm and practical benefits make it worth it. Here are a few standout features of soapstone countertops:

* Each soapstone slab has natural variations in color and texture, giving your kitchen a unique look.

* Soapstone is less likely to chip compared to granite or marble, making it a long-lasting choice.

* Requires minimal upkeep; simply wipe with soap and water to keep it looking great. If you choose, it can be sealed with mineral oil and really bring out the natural colors.

* Soapstone can withstand high temperatures, making it ideal for areas near stoves and ovens.

* As a natural stone, soapstone is a sustainable and environmentally friendly option.

We wanted to share this amazing laundry room from our latest custom home build. There's so much that goes into designing a room like this, between the client and our team. Below are the details we came up with:

Farmhouse Sink: Classic and super functional, perfect for all your laundry needs.

Custom Cabinets: We chose a simple door profile with exposed butt hinges for that old-world look. These cabinets have tons of storage space to keep everything neat and tidy.

Granite Countertops: Featuring honed granite countertops that are both durable and sleek. If you haven't felt a honed top, it's awesome.

Faucet: Not your typical laundry faucet—this one adds a touch of style and sophistication to the space.

Who knew a laundry room could look this stylish?
