Truth!
There's a specific type of courage that nobody outside this industry recognizes.
It's sitting across from someone at a listing appointment (someone who desperately wants to believe their house is worth $100k more than the market will pay) and telling them the truth anyway.
Knowing full well they might stand up, thank you for your time, and call the agent down the street who'll take the listing at any number just to get the sign in the yard.
That agent who agrees with whatever number the seller writes on a napkin isn't confident.
They're scared.
Scared of losing the listing.
Scared of an uncomfortable conversation. Scared of being honest.
And six months later, that overpriced house has had four price cuts, zero offers, and a seller who's angrier than they would have been on day one.
The agent who walked away with their integrity intact? They'll get that call back.
They always do.
Sellers eventually figure out who was right.
They just wish they'd listened the first time.
