I toured the brand-new Wellington Aquatic Center this week and came away impressed: 28 lap lanes, a zero-depth splash zone for little swimmers, shaded cabanas for parents, and admission that starts at just $5 for resident kids ($7 for adults). Water stays a comfy 83-85°F in the rec pool and 79-80°F in the competition lanes, so you can train or play year-round. Hours run 9 a.m.–7 p.m. most of the year and extend to 8 p.m. through the summer.
