I wanted to share some photos from Blanco, Texas from last week. I was in town last week for the TALB luncheon. Blanco is (pronounced Blank-oh) by folks from around here. Blanco is a small town with a population of around 1,500. However, the town is developing rapidly. The Blanco River winds through the south end of town. Blanco is the county seat. There is a beautiful courthouse in the middle of the town square. The Old 300 BBQ is on the square. I recommend the smoked brisket. A few miles north of town is the Real Ale Brewing Co. They make many excellent styles of beer and distilled spirits. My two favorite beers are the Swifty APA and the Axis IPA. There is an award winning whiskey distillery in town. Named after its founder, Texas entrepreneur Marsha Milam, and master blender, and author, Heather Greene, Milam & Greene Whiskey embodies the dedication and expertise of its remarkable team. Last Wednesday, I won a special prize at the monthly TALB meeting in Blanco, Texas. The generous prize was donated and presented by the Mayor Candy Cargill. Blanco is a great small town north of San Antonio and southeast of Austin. There are a bunch of great places for food and drink in Blanco. The Texas Association of Land Brokers is a great organization. If you are thinking about purchasing land or ranch property, in the Texas Hill Country please contact me.

Yesterday, as I was driving to Blanco from Boerne for the monthly meeting of the Texas Association of Land Brokers: I noticed this. I had to stop and take this picture. The Bergheim Volunteer Fire Department was flying the US flag was at half mast in honor of Dolly Parton. Dolly deserves that honor.
