Most buyers don’t think about what’s underground… until it becomes a very expensive problem.

A sewer line inspection is one of the most overlooked—but most important—steps in a home purchase. Especially in areas like Boone County, where older materials like Orangeburg piping are still common and starting to fail.

The tough part? You won’t see the issue during a typical showing. And by the time there’s a backup or collapse, repairs can easily reach $15,000–$20,000+.

If you’re buying in town, don’t skip this. If you’re selling, getting ahead of it can prevent surprises and protect your deal.
