Lamacchia Realty’s article highlights Realtor.com’s projection that September 27–October 3, 2026 could be the best week to buy nationally.
Here’s what’s behind that outlook:
🏡 More selection: Active listings projected to be 31.9% above the start of the year.
🤝 Less competition: Buyer competition projected to be 30.1% below its annual peak.
💰 Lower asking prices: Projected to be 3.5% below their seasonal high.
For buyers, this could mean more options and opportunities to negotiate on price, closing costs, or repairs.
And don’t automatically dismiss a home that’s been sitting on the market. Seasonal timing or an initial price that was too high may explain why it’s still available.
