From the mountains of Ouray to the shores of Lahaina, Fading West has built modular homes across some of the West's most challenging and beautiful communities.

Modular construction isn't just faster. It's smarter. Homes are built in a controlled factory environment, then delivered and set on-site which reduces weather delays, cost overruns, and construction timelines dramatically.

We've built in:
📍 Ouray, CO
📍 Lahaina, HI
📍 Buena Vista, CO
📍 Telluride, CO
📍 Breckenridge, Fairplay, Eagle County, Poncha Springs, Norwood, South Fork, Ignacio, Craig & Ridgway

And we're coming soon to Montana, Utah, and California.

If you're a developer, municipality, or landowner looking to bring attainable housing to your community — let's talk.

Congratulations on the ribbon cutting at Freedom Park! Twenty homes for the county workers just a stones throw away from their workplace. Working alongside as a general contractor for the project, we’re proud of have been a part of it!

The teachers, the nurses, the small business owners, firefighters, the neighbors who wave every morning — they’re the ones who make this town worth living in. 🏡

They deserve to stay.

We’re in the business of making that possible. Because HOME isn’t just a house — it’s belonging somewhere.

Keeping locals, local. 💛

Last week, our Chief Business Development Officer, Eric Schaefer, testified before the U.S. House Committee on Small Business — and it’s a moment worth celebrating.

Chairman Roger Williams said it himself: “It’s a big deal to be here.” We couldn’t agree more — and we’re grateful to have been part of the conversation.

America is facing a deficit of millions of entry-level and affordable homes. Small builders are showing up anyway. And modular construction is proving to be one of the most powerful answers we have.

The American dream deserves a real solution, and we’re building it.

16 families. 16 keys. One community. 🏡

We’re proud to have partnered with on Adams Way in Eagle, CO — Habitat for Humanity Vail Valley’s first-ever modular home project. From groundbreaking to dedication ceremony, watching 16 new homeowners receive their keys on August 15, 2024 was something we’ll never forget.

75% of these homes are dedicated to Eagle County School District employees — the teachers and staff who show up every day for Colorado’s kids, finally with a place to call their own.

This is what workforce housing done right looks like. 🤍

"We hate waste."
Sustainability is one of Fading West's four core pillars — alongside speed, quality, and affordability. For us, it means two things: people and planet.
Here's what that looks like in practice:

Efficiency over waste
Our modular factory runs on lean manufacturing principles. Standardized product lines and optimized processes have dramatically cut construction waste compared to traditional building methods.

Build it once, build it to last
Our homes are designed for long life — backed by warranties on key materials. Durability isn't just a quality story. It's an environmental one. Fewer replacements = lower lifecycle impact.

Resilience by design
We build in communities on the front lines of climate change — wildfire zones, flood plains, displacement corridors. Our homes incorporate fire-resistant materials and smarter structural strategies for storm and flood-prone areas. The goal: help communities rebuild in place and keep locals local.

Sustainability is social, too
Workforce and affordable housing for people at ~80% of area median income isn't just a business model — it's a social commitment. Stable housing is the foundation of healthy, thriving local economies. Our partners have long wait lists. We're working to meet that need.

Shaping the conversation
Fading West has been recognized nationally for innovative housing solutions. Our leadership is actively engaged in state and federal conversations about the future of affordable, modular, and resilient housing.

Sustainability isn't a checkbox for us. It's structural — woven into how we design, build, and who we build for.

We’re excited to share that we’ve officially begun production on our 1,000th unit! This milestone is headed to Longmont, CO, as part of a Rural Homes affordable neighborhood that will give local workers and families a place to call home.

None of this would be possible without the dedication and hard work of our incredible team. We’re excited to see this Longmont community come to life and are looking forward to building more communities, one house at a time, across the country.
