Is it just me or is the economy personally offended by me at this point? 😂

Because I used to be somebody with coins in my pocket, maybe a random $5 bill folded up like “nice, future me is winning.”
Now I open my wallet and it’s just receipts, stress, and vibes that have been declined.

I took my family up north recently and the math just didn’t feel respectful.

Gas there: $80
Gas back: $80
Me staring at the pump like “we’re really doing this in public?”

Then we stop for a “simple treat” soft serve ice cream. Nothing fancy. No gold flakes, no imported cows, no shakes or emotional healing included.
Family of six: $35.
I remember when $35 was groceries, dinner, AND a little leftover joy. Now it’s a cone and a financial group discussion at a picnic table.

And don’t get me started on my kids eating like there’s a snack economy I didn’t get briefed on. “Dad I’m hungry” every 12 minutes like I didn’t just feed them a full course meal and survive a bedtime snack negotiation.
At this point I don’t even browse stores anymore. I just walk past like I owe them money.

But all jokes aside
