7 months in our home… and we’ve completely transformed it. 🏡🤎

I remember walking through this house for the first time and thinking, “This isn’t it.” 😂

It wasn’t updated. It wasn’t exactly what I pictured. There were SO many things I wanted to change.

But then I had to change the way I was looking at it.

We didn’t need a perfect house that lacked the space we needed. We needed space for our growing family and a house we could make our own.

Once I looked past the paint, flooring, fixtures and all the cosmetic things that could be changed, I could finally see the bigger picture.

I saw holidays here. 🎄
Birthday parties. 🎂
Kids running through the house.
Family gathered around the kitchen.
A backyard to play in.
And an almost-forever home — until we’re in our 60s and decide we can’t keep up with it anymore. 😂

Seven months later, we’ve completely transformed so much of it, and we’ve done a LOT ourselves.

POV: You spend weeks (sometimes months) talking almost every day… touring homes, writing offers, working through inspections, celebrating the little wins, and probably exchanging way too many texts. 😂

Then suddenly… they close.

They get the keys. 🔑🏡
They’re off starting their next chapter.

And I’m just sitting here like… so we’re not texting 47 times a day anymore? 🥲😂

All jokes aside, this is one of the bittersweet parts of real estate. My clients become part of my everyday life, and I genuinely care about the people behind the transaction.

So yes, I’m incredibly happy when you get those keys… but I might miss you a little too. 🤍🥹

When you need an office more than another closet… 🤎

When we bought this house, it had an addition that was set up almost like an in-law suite, complete with a walk-in closet. As a business owner and a mom, I knew I needed a dedicated place to work, but I also wanted to stay on the same floor as the girls.

Since this closet is right off their playroom, it felt like the perfect space to turn into my office. Now I can work, create, and handle all the behind-the-scenes business things while still being close to them.

I love how cozy and functional it turned out—and SW Dried Thyme may officially be my favorite wall color. 🌿

Flooring- we tore out the pink carpet and used best laminate Baltic oak and added a large rug for now.
