Today was closing day for two really special ladies!

These best friends worked together in their grooming business for over 40 years, and when they retired, they decided they were ready to leave the city and spend this next chapter of their lives right here in the North Georgia mountains. They chose Demorest, and I think they picked a pretty great place.

The market was definitely limited, and there just wasn’t a lot out there that fit what they were looking for. But we kept looking, and I was able to find them exactly the kind of place they had been dreaming about. I love when that happens.

This one came to me as a referral from another agent in my brokerage, and I’m always grateful when another agent trusts me to take good care of their clients.

If you’ve been thinking about making a move to North Georgia, don’t let a limited market make you think the right house isn’t out there. Sometimes you just need someone who knows the area, listens to what you really want, and is willing to keep looking until we find it.

The Fed’s recent rate cut just helped mortgage rates tick down again — the average 30-year conventional loan is now sitting around 6.25%, down from roughly 6.5% a month ago. 📉

Even a small drop like this can make a real difference in monthly payments and buying power. 💪

Kim’s Baked Sourdough Goods and Kim Kota Cares doing business today😄

What a day! The morning started off with a migraine, but thanks to Nurtec, I got that under control. Could do without the subtle nausea I’ve had all day. But, I gotta work, so the show went on.

Nine loaves out the door…some were purchased by the awesome Renee Roberts Wray, my awesome mortgage contact, for gifts for her borrower client. Yall need a loan, refinance, HELOC? Calm Renee. She can help you! Thank you Renee!!! They do make awesome gifts!!

And, thanks to Kelli Garrett Allen at Elevated Gardens! She has taken home a couple of loaves and has become a friend. She’s also an awesome gardener who is in the process of putting my new garden together. I’m so excited!!! Check her out for help with gardening of any kind. She knows her stuff!!

And, of course, thank you to the many others who have ordered from me. I love to bake for y’all!!!

Secondly, I haven’t talked much about real estate lately, but I’ve had a listing in Dawsonville that went Under Contract today! Yay! I’m always available to help people buy or sell, so if you know anyone, let me know.

As my night comes to a close, I’m putting together 6 more doughs for loaves to bake tomorrow. People have to have their sourdough. If you have never had real sourdough, you wouldn’t understand. Only bread I’ll bake now, and just about the only bread I’ll eat anymore.

It was an all day baking affair yesterday and baking early this AM! Sourdough pumpkin shaped loaves (more in the oven), sourdough waffles, and sourdough thumbprint cookies. Thank you for all who support my little endeavor. Happy Thanksgiving!
