Long before becoming licensed home builders, Anne and Paul spent years as landlords, starting with a few rental properties before moving into renovating older homes. That journey naturally evolved into taking on partially built, abandoned homes and bringing them to completion—ultimately leading Paul to earn his Florida Residential Contractor’s License and the official start of Hansen Homes. In the
early days, the company operated right out of the Hansen family living room, where their very first customers signed contracts. Many of those same customers are still building with Hansen Homes today—a testament to the relationships and trust established from the very beginning. Hansen Homes has always been a true family business. Both daughters grew up working in the company from their late teens. Cindy later pursued a career with Lee County EMS before returning to the family business full-time. Tracey went on to follow her passion for writing and is now a multiple USA Today bestselling author, known as T.M. Frazier—something the entire family is incredibly proud of. Today, with Anne and Paul retired, Cindy leads Hansen Homes alongside a small but dedicated team. Together, they continue the legacy—building thoughtfully designed, aesthetically pleasing homes while staying rooted in the honesty, integrity, and values that started it all.
