Listing your home can be an exciting adventure, but it’s important to think ahead about your next steps. Where will you go once your home sells? And what if plan A doesn’t pan out? My priority is to ensure my clients never find themselves in a tough spot. That’s why I guide them through all available options and help create a solid plan—complete with a backup plan—so they can move forward with confidence!

POV: you want to buy a house and you scroll homes.com every day but you aren't totally sure what you can afford and you know you need to sell your home first anyway.

AND you have a vision in your head of the EXACT home you would like to purchase.

I mean, if I'm honest, this is all of us at some point, right?

But aimlessly scrolling rarely lands us the home we've been hoping for.

Sellers have become a lot more selective about what kind of offers they'd entertain, and buyers know the market is competitive and only the prepared win.

So what does this mean for you?

It means if you really do want to move, even if it's in the next year or two, it's never too early to prepare.

And prepping to purchase isn't complicated....it pretty much just means contacting your agent. From there, I guide by clients every step of the way, from talking with a lender to giving them a free home valuation (if applicable) so that they know exactly what they can afford and what to be looking for.

Nothing is more powerful than a pre-approval letter from a local lender and a customized plan from an agent like me. This way, even if it's another two years until you're ready to move, the moment the house for you pops up on your search results, you'll be ready!

If your goal is to buy or sell in 2024, there's still time! The fall is one of the best markets to make a move in West Michigan.

The worst way to buy or sell a house right now is to simply wing it. The market isn't nearly as forgiving as it has been and there is way too much at stake for you not to have a plan.

For the remainder of 2024, according to Fannie Mae, home prices are expected to climb, but at a slower pace. PLUS they are predicting mortgage rates will *slightly* dip, which could increase the number of buyers and homes for sale.

Even these minor changes require expert strategy and professionalism. The key is starting early and preparing yourself (and your home) for the market!

Bottom line: when it comes to buying or selling this year, don't wing it. Reach out to a professional (like me!) and step into the market prepared and confident.
