One thing I have learned after helping many buyers purchase homes is this: The house people fall in love with online is not always the one they choose in person.
Sometimes the photos do not capture how special a home feels when you walk through the front door. Other times a home that looks perfect online may not feel quite right once you see the layout, the neighborhood, or the surroundings.
That is why the home buying process is about more than just scrolling through listings. It is about understanding the market, knowing what to look for, and having someone guide you through the process.

Homestead Exemption Reminder for Hinds, Madison, and Rankin Counties
If you’ve had a life change recently, you may need to file a new homestead application. You should file if any of the following apply to you:
• You purchased a home in 2025 and were living in it by January 1, 2026
• You became disabled
• You lost a spouse
• You turned 65
Homestead exemption filing must be completed between January 1 and March 31, 2026.
I’ve compiled the homestead exemption requirements for Hinds, Madison, and Rankin counties to help make the process easier.
