Recently we marked the closing of 51 Piedmont. 🏡

This closing was a little bittersweet for everyone involved. The seller had owned this home for more than 50 years — a home filled with decades of memories, milestones, family gatherings, laughter, and love.

After much thought, she decided it was time to transition into a lifestyle that required a little less maintenance and allowed for a little more ease in this next chapter of life. While closing days are often centered around contracts and keys, this one carried a much deeper meaning.

The Chatman Realty Team was honored to help guide her through such an emotional and important transition. What started as a client relationship turned into something much more meaningful. In the process of helping her seller move into a new season, Shakeima says she gained another mom. ❤️

Charleston is served by THREE separate county school districts, and where your child goes to school depends on your exact address — sometimes even which side of the street you live on.

And here’s where it gets tricky: Summerville touches ALL THREE districts. So you can’t assume the school system based on the city name alone.
