This is a hard post to make… our little trio has become a duo as we said goodbye to our sweet Max yesterday. 💔

Max was the kindest, most gentle soul right up until the very end — and the world’s most devoted Mama’s Boy. I don’t think anyone will ever love me quite the way he did, with that singular, all-consuming dedication that could only be described as Single White Female energy. 😄

From nearly chewing through the garage wall in those wild early days after I rescued him, to patiently enduring — and secretly adoring — every bit of Gravy’s chaos until his last breath, he was steadfast, sweet, and irreplaceable.

I’m forever grateful to Dr. Jodie with Lap of Love for giving him the most peaceful, dignified goodbye and a bit of chocolate to send him on his way. 🍫

I hope wherever you are now, you’re running through open fields, eating all the protein your heart desires, and finally enjoying a little peace from a certain someone who was perpetually attached to your neck.

I love you, Max. You were one of a kind. 💔
