2026 Banner Elk 🏔️

The trip did not start as planned with Jason’s truck overheating an hour out of Charlotte. With only an hour to spare before enterprise closed for the day we reserved a van over the phone. When we arrived they informed us they didn’t actually have one available! Thank goodness we were able to work something out. We barely fit our things going from a Chevy Silverado to a Hyundai Santefae. But we made it work.

20 minutes back on the road Alexander lets us know he forgot his retainer in the truck at the shop🤦‍♀️. He was adamant we had to go back. We turned around to get it but the shop was closed. Thankfully, he was able to fit through the gate and grab it😂.

***All of this to say, it was one of our best family trips ever!!!! And I mean that. The weather and our cabin was amazing and we made so many memories. Now time for school to start in two days!!!
