Who remembers Newell Grocery ? - I grew up in Myers Park, but I always loved getting out into the more rural areas near Charlotte like Hickory Grove and Newell. Here’s a photo from around ‘73-‘75. I miss all the old country stores. Who remembers Newell Grocery ?

***TRAFFIC ALERT***

A developer's maintenance project could potentially affect traffic around a local neighborhood this week.

MI Homes has informed the Huntersville Public Works Department that it will begin repair work at the intersection of Yellow Springs Drive and Fountaindale Street beginning Tuesday, Aug. 11. Every attempt will be made to keep the intersection open, though conditions may eventually necessitate closing it to ensure the safety of workers and the public.

In the event that the intersection must be closed, access to Phase 2 of the Spring Grove community will be only be available via Hagers Road.

Please be patient and exercise caution when driving through this area during the repair project.
