"I couldn't be happier."

That's how Andrew Slaney summed up the moment his team was named champions of the inaugural University Valuation Case Challenge, recognized on a national stage at the 2026 Appraisal Institute Annual Conference.

With appraisers and industry leaders from across the country in the room, these students got an inside look at what the profession is really about: the people you meet along the way, a perspective where no two properties or markets are ever the same, and work that makes a real, visible difference in the world around us. They left with national recognition, real connections across the industry, and a clear picture of their place in the profession.

Now, back by popular demand, UVCC returns to the 2027 Annual Conference in New Orleans, and registration is officially open! We can't wait to hear what students from across the country bring to the table.
