There's more than one way into a career in appraisal. Bri Trueblood found hers by happenstance.

She came across this profession by chance and took the challenge anyway, finding her way through the Appraiser Development Initiative (ADI), a pathway program from the Appraisal Institute that connected her to resources, industry panels, and a community of fellow scholars, clearing a cleaner path into the profession without changing what it takes to earn the credential.

In her words, that community means "I don't feel alone." And her advice for anyone considering this path: "You miss a hundred percent of the shots you don't take. So take the chance."
