Tomorrow 11am-4pm, please plan to check out the 🌀 CINCY WEIRDO MARKET 🌀 in Clifton Gaslight!

This event is presented by Feel It Records and Mom Waste Vintage and takes place in the parking lot in front of Feel It at 356 Ludlow Ave. You’ll be able to shop from more than 30 vendors from Cincinnati and beyond, offering vintage clothing and accessories, records, art, books, VHS tapes, and other “weirdo stuff.”

Possibly the coolest part of this already awesome event will be a preview of Conveyor Belt Books! From pop-ups in 2020 and the opening of its brick-and-mortar in 2022, Conveyor Belt Books has prided itself on offering the finest, most electric, eclectic and eccentric selection of used reads in Greater Cincinnati.

Right now, Conveyor Belt Books is raising funds to offset the cost of moving from its storefront in Covington to the former Proud Rooster space on Ludlow Ave. Every purchase you make now, in person or online, helps this cause! For more, please consider donating to the store’s gofundme.com fundraiser (currently over 20% funded!): www.gofundme.com/f/bring-conveyor-belt-books-to-the-clifton-gaslight-district

I was born and raised in Clifton Gaslight, where I now live with my son. We absolutely love our neighborhood, and a used bookstore will make the Clifton Business Association's mix of stores and restaurants even more robust.

Under contract in Covington!

Please congratulate me on my first Kentucky real estate deal, with this home for sale by the executor of its former owner’s estate.

My client, a colleague from the Action Tank days who restores properties in his free time, reached out because this property is very close to his in-laws’ house, and the family is already deeply invested in this neighborhood.

Built in 1889, this diminutive home is part of the Austinburg Historic District in the Austinburg neighborhood of Covington, named after Seneca Austin who purchased a sizable tract of land along the Licking River in 1844.

Located at the confluence of the Ohio and Licking Rivers, Covington is the largest city in Northern Kentucky, with over 41,000 residents, and sits directly across from downtown Cincinnati. Fun fact: Covington boasts 14 national historic districts!

As an advocate for historic preservation, I am committed to helping my clients find perfectly located homes that are both beautiful and full of character. As a realtor licensed in Ohio and Kentucky, I work with a wide range of clients in Greater Cincinnati, from first-time homebuyers to seasoned investors, to help them find the property that best meets their unique needs and preferences.

Today we’re exploring East Walnut Hills! This neighborhood is well-known for its stately single-family homes, many built around 1900, when the hilltop community was a growing streetcar suburb. Though it largely retains that early 20th century flavor, housing options include modern single-family homes and condo buildings, some with dramatic views of the Ohio River.

And we’re starting with the view! Whether your taste runs to a sleek high-rise or a historic home, you can find it in East Walnut Hills.

Walking down the residential streets of this historic community offers many rewards, from the grand mansions of the Uplands Historic District, to mid-century Modern homes to impressive instances of adaptive reuse, like the chic Schoolhouse Lofts, in the former Walnut Hills High School building.

The vibrant DeSales Corner business district boasts bars, restaurants and retail, including Palette Studios, regionally renowned for its lighting. A comfort meal at Heyday and a sweet treat from Hello Honey round out the experience.

On Fridays, plan to wander through the East Walnut Hills Farmers Market, where farm-to-table meets happy hour.

Please follow East Walnut Hills to learn about what’s going on in this neighborhood and EWH Businesses to keep up with its business community.

Today we’re in Pleasant Ridge! This is a vibrant, walkable neighborhood approximately 9 miles from downtown Cincinnati, boasting affordable housing, award-winning parks and a lively mix of independent businesses.

Pleasant Ridge was initially the small farming community of Cross Roads, named for the crossing of the Montgomery Turnpike (now Montgomery Rd.) and an old Indian trail called Columbia Road (now Ridge Rd.). In 1850 the name was changed to Pleasant Ridge. It was incorporated as a village in 1891 and annexed by the City of Cincinnati in 1911.

The intersection of Montgomery Rd. and Ridge Rd. is still the heart of the neighborhood, where the business district includes favorites like The Gas Light Cafe, Everybodys Records, Café Alma, and the Queen City Comic & Card Company.

The population is now about 10,000 in this neighborhood of (primarily) single-family homes on tree-lined streets. Old house lovers appreciate the eclectic mix of Tudor Revival, American foursquare, Colonial Revival, and more.

To learn more, follow the Pleasant Ridge Community Council, where you’ll learn about Pride in the Ridge that’s happening next weekend. Be sure to also keep an eye out for the next Pleasant Ridge Tour Of Homes.

Are you looking for an old house to call your own? Curious about living in Pleasant Ridge? I am a real estate agent licensed in Ohio and Kentucky. With my extensive knowledge of the unique neighborhoods and communities in Greater Cincinnati, I can help you find the perfect home for your lifestyle and budget.

If you love gardening and historic architecture, be sure to check out the 28th Newport Garden Walk on 6-7 Jun! This is one of the most popular garden tours in the Greater Cincinnati area.

The event is organized by the East Row Garden Club, a community organization with multiple goals, including educating members about gardening, providing a social atmosphere to foster community, and sponsoring projects that beautify the East Row Historic District and the City of Newport, KY.

For 2026, the Newport Garden Walk will be hosting a Flower Arrangement Design Class in conjunction with A New Leaf Florist Newport KY!

The East Row Historic District is the 2nd largest local historic district in Kentucky. It offers the perfect in-town living experience with friendly and diverse neighbors, a strong sense of community, beautiful historic homes, mature trees, plentiful parks—all just minutes from downtown Cincinnati.

The Victorian era was Newport’s most affluent period, when the area became a favorite of wealthy business owners and merchants in the late 1800s.

A walk through the East Row’s tree lined streets can transport you back to the late 19th Century. The neighborhood is a living display of distinct architectural styles, including Italianate, American Four Square and Queen Anne. These elegant homes look much as they did more than 100 years ago.

Follow the East Row Historic Foundation to learn more about the neighborhood, and head to www.eastrowgardenclub.org to purchase your Garden Walk tickets!

Have you checked out Norwood lately? This city of just over 3 square miles, located within Cincinnati city limits, has been remaking itself in recent years, bolstering its “porch culture” while rehabilitating blighted buildings and improving connectivity for its multiple neighborhoods, districts, corridors, and small downtown.

Development in the area began around 1873, and residential streets feature many fine examples of late 19th century architecture. Tucked behind mature trees, you’ll find beautiful Queen Anne and foursquare homes, plus occasional Arts and Crafts, Cade Cod and Tudor Revival examples.

Norwood’s latest attraction is Factory 52, a brand-new lifestyle destination that leverages elements of the historic US Playing Card Company factory to create a vibrant environment with a food hall (Gatherall), brewery (Fretboard Brewing), shopping, rental apartments, and more.

There’s lots to discover in the “gem of the highlands!” Norwood’s side streets offer attractions like Norwood Delite Creamy Whip, which has been serving the community for over 65 years.

Montgomery Rd. acts as the community connector, flanked by shopping plazas, civic buildings and unique businesses like Core Clay, a community of artists working side-by-side in a friendly environment that inspires artistic growth. The ceramic studio offers classes, work space, clay and other supplies, and a gift shop. Mason Gallery of Crafts + Fine Arts, located on-site, presents rotating exhibitions of contemporary clay-based work.

Please follow Norwood Together to learn more about what’s going on in Norwood!

Under contract!

151 East Mitchell Ave. is a great story of helping a property stay in the family from one generation to the next!

I helped my client purchase this 3-family home from her father in an off-market sale. My buyer was born in this property and lives in one of the units now, with her dad living in another unit.

The 3rd unit is currently vacant, and there is a good amount of deferred maintenance that the buyer will soon be able to address.

Her investment will get the property back in great shape and increase her cash flow, while honoring the family history tied to this North Avondale location.

Known for its large homes and quiet, tree-lined streets, North Avondale is located approximately 5 miles north of downtown Cincinnati. Most of homes here were built between 1890 and 1930, and my client’s home dates to 1922, fitting right in with the local streetscape.

Today we’re in Betts-Longworth, just northwest of downtown Cincinnati and immediately west of Over-the-Rhine! The Betts-Longworth Historic District includes approximately 10 blocks of the West End. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places due to its Federal, Queen Anne, Greek Revival, and especially Italianate architecture.

This historic district is home to the Betts House, a farm house constructed beginning in 1804 that is now one of the oldest homes in Cincinnati. It is also home to the Chestnut Street Cemetery, founded in 1821 and the oldest Jewish cemetery west of the Allegheny Mountains.

Betts-Longworth is named after two of the area’s original property owners, William Betts and Nicholas Longworth. Both owned large tracts of land, which were subdivided in the 1830s and sold as individual lots.

Though the majority of the district’s historic buildings and residences date from the late 19th century, this area is also a great example of how historic preservation and new development can successfully revitalize a small downtown neighborhood.

If you’re an FC Cincinnati fan, there’s no better neighborhood to live than Betts-Longworth, mere steps from TQL Stadium, a facility with 26,000 spectator capacity that opened in 2021.
