Today, I'm pausing to reflect on the immense freedoms and the democracy I get to live every single day. These privileges are not free. They were paid for by brave individuals, I never met, who stepped into harm’s way and gave everything to protect our way of life. What hits me hardest is the deeply personal cost of that bravery. These heroes were people with full, vibrant lives ahead of them. They were parents who never got to watch their children grow up, or children who left heartbroken parents behind, and partners who had their futures abruptly stolen away. Left behind are empty chairs at family tables and a lifetime of unspoken goodbyes.
I carry a deep sense of gratitude for their sacrifice, and my heart goes out to the families who have had to carry the weight of that loss every day since. I will never take the democracy they defended for granted.

Most buyers and sellers don't know what FinCen is, let along what it stands for, its acronym means Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN).
Most agents don't know about this either. New rule goes into effect March 1, 2026

I have a 'pet' Armadillo in my yard and was thinking of ways to keep her/him out, because of the holes I get in the yard, until I read this article. Read it 🙂
Armadillos move quickly, are almost blind, have heightened hearing and quite shy, they don't want to interact and leave when they hear a noise or hear you.

The point is, when you buy a home, give the home and yard, garden time to show you some of the positives, like this little Armadillo 'mascot'. I also have deer that show up on my front lawn, a red tailed hawk visits in the afternoon and an array of bees and birds, of course Blue Jays:)

Armadillos eat 40,000 ANTS per day. Plus fire ants. Plus the grubs destroying your lawn.
Those holes? Evidence of free pest control.
They're not destroying your yard. They're saving it. 🦡
