I was born and raised in central Iowa, but moved away long enough to appreciate the midwestern values. As the wife of a basketball coach, we once moved 8 times in 7 years through 3 states–so I get it! Coming from a unique background of investment & mortgage experience, I am well-versed in all sides of the real estate transaction. I can help guide you as you purchase your first home, upgrade your family’s residence or facilitate the acquisition of a distressed property. Several years with both rental and rehab properties has given me insight not only from an investment standpoint–but also experience with various transactional details that will in turn, benefit you as my client. As a former mortgage originator, I am very familiar with the regulations and deadlines surrounding financing. I will make sure your timeline is met–using the allies and resources I have compiled from past business transactions. I am a Grand View University graduate, and small business owner in several Des Moines suburbs, so I have a vested interest in seeing the community prosper. My husband, Andy, and I reside in Johnston. We have four children: Drew (20), Alyx (13), Ryah (11) & JJ (8). We spend a lot of time in the fall & winter cheering on the Grand View Vikings football and Johnston basketball programs. Listen for an example of why you should consider using a professional to sell your home …

I will be the first to admit, finding the buyer for the home is not always the hardest part (especially in the last 7-8 years) so I can understand why sellers think they should go it alone to save money.

However, as your professional representative, my job does not stop when we find a buyer… It’s merely just beginning! From managing compliance and disclosures to navigating inspection request, and the not so far fetched buyer with cold feet, I am more often playing Dr. Phil than I am HGTV.

If you don’t believe me, even big bad Zillow agrees (link in comments). Zillow says via NAR’s 2025 data: agent-assisted sales closed at a median of $425,000 vs. $360,000 without one, a $65,000 gap.
