There’s something special about a Connecticut summer. 🌻🌽🚜

Roadside farm stands overflowing with fresh vegetables, fields full of hay, colorful flower farms, sweet corn, local honey, and families working from sunrise to sunset to bring fresh food to our communities.

Behind every basket of tomatoes, bouquet of flowers, or dozen ears of corn are farmers who have spent months planning, planting, weeding, and harvesting. Summer is their busiest season, and every local purchase makes a difference.

This weekend, take the scenic route. Stop at a farm stand, visit a farmers market, or simply thank a local farmer for the work they do. Supporting local agriculture helps preserve Franklin’s rural character, strengthens our local economy, and keeps our farmland thriving for generations to come.
