Nobody tells you this about natural light: a bright-looking home isn’t always a naturally bright home.
Listing photos can make almost any room look bright. When you're actually viewing a home, there are a few things worth paying attention to.
Look at:
• How the light changes throughout the day
• The size and placement of the windows
• Which direction the windows face
• Trees, neighboring homes, or other things blocking sunlight
• Skylights, glass doors, and lighter interior finishes
If natural light is important to you, don't just ask, “Is this room bright?”
Ask, “Will this home get the kind of light I want throughout the day?”
These little details can make a big difference in how a home feels once you actually live there.
Save this for your next showing, and send it to someone who is house hunting.
If you're looking for a home and want help knowing what to look for beyond the listing photos, I'm happy to guide you through the process.
