One of the things I love most about living in Blythewood is that it’s just a hop, skip, and a jump from Charlotte! We enjoy that smaller town feel, but every now and then it’s fun to go into a bigger city for a little getaway.

And when Charlotte is only an hour away? We take advantage of a babysitter and enjoy a kid-free weekend together full of shopping, trying new restaurants... and SLEEP 😂

This time we tried Steak 48 for the first time. We had the lamb with the seafood mac and cheese, asparagus, and loaded potato. Not only was it fantastic, but it was also way too much to eat in one sitting. The restaurant also had outstanding customer service!

I highly recommend trying Steak 48 for a great date night.

Honestly though? The highlight of the weekend was a nice hotel room with no alarms and no kids. Good sleep is hard to come by these days, but we wouldn’t change it for anything.

Sometimes you need a little weekend away.

Two families, two days 💫

Two awesome families got their keys!

First, huge thank you to Jenna Pressley and DP for allowing me to help them find their beautiful new home. We had been in talks for a while and I shared a plan with them that I thought would be perfect and they loved it! Super happy for you all and the kids!

Second is the Garris Family from Fayetteville! They were referred to me by an agent partner and they are having their fresh start in a beautiful new home in Elgin!

God is so so good!

We stopped by Fire King Pizza for the first time last weekend for lunch here in downtown Columbia! They’re known for serving up authentic Neapolitan and deep dish pizza. But they also have wings, burgers, hot dogs, and Philly cheesesteaks, too!

This was our first time trying it, so we ordered the lunch special: an extra-large slice of pizza, five wings, and a drink 🍕 Shout-out to the egg rolls, too!

Overall, it was affordable, great food, and great customer service all around.

If you find yourself downtown, stop by Fire King Pizza on Hampton Street! And if you’ve been here before, let me know what your “go-to” favorites are! 👇
