I could never thank you all enough for what you have done for me in the last three weeks. Going into this experience I was very nervous; I had never done anything like this and was scared that I would be out of place and awkward. Thankfully you guys corrected that line of thinking immediately. The second I walked through the doors on my first day I was met with a warmth and kindness I could never have expected. The way you guys take the people who enter your building and immediately make them feel like a part of the family is both impressive and inspiring. I hope I am just like you guys when I grow up! Last Friday we had our first ever Roundtable Talk with our high school intern Polly! From advice to life stories, it was a good opportunity for Polly to get as much wisdom as she could before she goes into college and the workforce. Our residents continue to show what it means to live out our core values every day. Through Purposeful Service, they’ve stepped up to lead and create opportunities that bring people together - from tending the community garden and serving on the hospitality committee to organizing chair volleyball, card nights filled with euchre and pinochle, and even a weekly poker night.

Their energy, creativity, and care help make Brookwood Point a vibrant community where everyone can find connection, purpose, and fun. It’s a privilege to watch residents share their talents and create spaces and activities that truly make a difference for one another.
