Everyone talks about the happy closings… but sometimes there are happy terminations too.🙏🏽

She decided NOT to buy the house… right now.

My buyer had been preapproved and looking for months. She finally found the one, her offer was accepted 🙌🏽… then the initial disclosures came in and the numbers looked different.

So we went back to her budget.

As much as she loved the house, she made the hard decision to terminate and put herself in a better financial position before purchasing.

Because buying a home isn’t just about finding a house you love. The numbers have to make sense for your life too.

I’m so proud of her for making the decision that was best for HER. 🫶🏽

Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is STOP doing. 🧠

Yesterday I had a rare day with no work appointments scheduled. I got a message from a client, did one quick showing, then headed to The Seed for some uninterrupted thinking time.

Sometimes you need to step away.
Go somewhere different.
Put the phone down.
Sit with your thoughts.
And give your brain a chance to catch up with your life.

I need to do this more often.

And honestly… a little weekly change of scenery/ lock-in session might become a thing. 🌱

I pass this place ALL the time and had no clue what it was! 🌱

Our Columbus Board of REALTORS® Leadership Academy spent some time lending a helping hand at the Living Mosaic Garden.

I haven’t worked in a garden since I was a little girl… and I actually enjoyed getting my hands dirty! 😅

Leadership means being connected to your community. Showing up, learning about things happening around you, and lending a hand when you can. 💛

And now when I drive by…
