From tearing down an old house… to watching our new home take shape in the hills of Glouster.

This journey has moved faster than we ever imagined, and it’s been incredible to watch every step come to life.

Welp… it’s been a minute—okay, a whole month—since our last build update! As the busiest season of the year hits the Holbert household, the house build just keeps rolling right along.
And honestly… we can finally see the finish line—and it’s coming faster than we ever expected! 🙌
Right now, the house is fully framed, plumbed, and has electric, insulation, drywall, and primer on all the walls. All windows and doors are in, too! My amazing parents have already added a few beautiful surprises (which made it feel even more real 🥹).
Outside, the deck is framed, the cedar posts are up, and siding has officially started!
Next up: interior paint, trim, interior doors, finishing the siding, and gutters. We’re getting so close!!

Two days.

That’s how long it took to frame both levels of our house in Glouster. Watching the craftsmanship of the crew was incredible.

Big news from the Holbert family… we’re moving to Glouster!

Over the past year, our family has spent more and more time in the Glouster community through my husband’s work, and somewhere along the way it started to feel like home. The people, the hills, the small-town pride — we’ve truly fallen in love with this area.

If you know me, you know I love homes and community. I grew up around home building, later built a career helping families as an educator, and now have the privilege of helping people buy and sell homes as a Realtor. Being part of a community and helping others plant roots is something I’m really passionate about.

Now we’re taking that step ourselves — building our home and starting this next chapter right here in Glouster.
