✏️ THE CASE OF THE BASEMENT PENCIL SHARPENERS ✏️
You know you’ve looked at an alarming number of houses when you start developing theories about the random stuff you see in them. 😂
During this house hunt, my clients and I looked at approximately 20 houses.
And we noticed something VERY strange…
Almost every single house had one.
An old-school, wall-mounted pencil sharpener. ✏️
And not just anywhere.
IN THE BASEMENT.
Or, oddly enough, right at the top of the stairs leading to the basement. 🤔
At first we thought, “Huh…that’s weird.”
Then we saw another one.
And another.
And another.
By house #10, we were convinced there had to be some deep historical reason for this.
By house #15, we were basically conducting a New Hampshire Pencil Sharpener Census. 😂
By house #20, we had one question:
WHY ARE ALL THE PENCIL SHARPENERS IN THE BASEMENTS?!
We still don’t have the answer.
BUT…
They are closing on their house THIS WEEK. 🏡🎉
And apparently, during this entire house-hunting journey, they decided there was only one appropriate closing gift for their REALTOR®…
AN OLD-SCHOOL PENCIL SHARPENER. 😂😂😂
Usually, the REALTOR® gives the clients a closing gift.
Not these clients.
They gave ME the pencil sharpener.
I’m not sure if this is a closing gift, a trophy, or evidence in an ongoing investigation. 🤣
But I absolutely LOVE it.
And now I have a new mission:
I NEED TO KNOW THE STORY BEHIND THE BASEMENT PENCIL SHARPENER.
New Hampshire friends…
