U.S. Office Downturn: Where Investors Look
Recent data on luxury home sales across the US paints a fascinating picture of just how diverse premium real estate can be. In major metro areas, current top transactions have ranged from $3.7M all the way up to an astonishing $130M. That $130M sale leads the pack, with other notable deals closing at $47M, $40.2M, $40M, $21.2M, $19M, $18M, and $17.5M. Some markets are showing remarkable depth at the high end, with even the fifth-highest sales in four standout regions all above $10M—a real testament to the strength of luxury pricing in those areas. Interestingly, one market stood out for its consistency, with its five priciest sales clustered between $24M and $40M. Of course, these numbers reflect only publicly marketed properties, as private transactions and nondisclosure practices may mean some significant sales aren’t captured here. With nearly a decade in real estate, I always find it rewarding to dive into these trends and share what’s shaping our luxury landscape—integrity and clear insight remain at the heart of every conversation.
