By the time she joined Royal Florida Realty in 2014, she was already experienced in every facet of real estate sales. Not only has she had her real estate license for over a decade – gaining invaluable real estate experience before the 2007 housing market crash, after which she shifted into other industries – but she has been a customer service agent, special events coordinator, property manager, loan officer, financial specialist, and tax accountant. Indeed, the jobs she has had throughout her career have been varied, and each one has given her skills, expertise and knowledge that she uses to make every one of her real estate transactions successful. Melisa brings an entire team to each real estate transaction – and she is the team! For 5 years she worked in customer service and special events services with Carnival Cruise Lines. She was also a Property Manager Assistant with the Continental Group for a year, a Mortgage Loan Officer for 2 years, and a financial specialist with Wachovia Bank for 2½ years. She has also been a tax accountant, sold insurance, and even managed an automobile rental business. In addition to holding a real estate license, which she earned in 2005, Melisa was previously a licensed mortgage broker, and she also passed licensing exams for selling life insurance and health insurance as well as Variable Annuities (Series 6 & Series 63). She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Florida International University and an Associates of Arts in Accounting from Miami-Dade College. Born in Canada, Melisa speaks 3 languages – English, French, and Spanish – and has European and Hispanic roots: Her father is French and her mother was Colombian.
