🚧 Frost Laws Are in Effect—What That Means for Your Project 🚧🚧👷
If you’ve seen updates like this from Michigan CAT, you might be wondering—what does this actually mean for you as a homeowner planning a build? 🤔🏠
Every spring, Michigan enforces seasonal weight restrictions (aka Frost Laws) to protect roads from damage as the ground thaws. This means heavier equipment and materials are restricted from transport, which can cause delays in excavation, concrete pouring, and other critical steps in your project. 🚛🚧🗓️
And trust us—we feel it too! We’re chomping at the bit to break ground on our own build, but like everyone else, we have to wait until restrictions are lifted. The anticipation is real, but these limits are set by each county to prevent costly damage to roads (and ultimately, your budget). ⏳💰
If you’re planning a garage, addition, or new build this season, now’s the time to get ahead of the details so that when the restrictions lift, you’re ready to hit the ground running. Have questions? Let’s chat! 🙋🏽♂️💬
