I truly do not think I could have asked for a more beautiful final hand off of home (aka real estate closing) to end 2025. Zoe is a friend and part of our family so it makes it even more special. After dozens and dozens (and dozens) of investors coming and going, this home landed with a family who intends to fully renovate and "reimagine" the home for themselves and their family while keeping it's many unique qualities from a log cabin in the back to the end to end windows along the back of the home that overlook a stretch of woods. Zoe and the buyers swapped stories of family and home and she shared what made Vistamont a special place in their hearts as the real Doc Hollywood home that was their family home for decades. They had so much in common between travel and food and shared intimate knowledge of regions of Mexico and then there was a sweet Cuban connection, all leading to full on Spanish speaking for a partial chunk of the closing. My Realtor lesson for the year (and life lesson) is to recognize you direct your destiny through 25% of the effort and the universe will direct it about 75% of the time, so just be present and aware and trust the path that you are sent on will get you to the destination. Thank you Zoe for your trust and patience and full appreciation for how the story ended, which was actually PERFECT. On to 2026!

We made it! Getting through a LONG punch list on new construction can be a wild ride, but we made it there just in time to close-LOL! Make sure you are working with an experienced agent who is going to put in the extra time and energy and understands the MANY nuances of new construction transactions. I'm here (and ready) for it, if NEW is what you want!! We negotiated a GREAT price as this area is going to be booming with Candler Crossing starting to break ground right down the street. There will be more walkable shopping and dining options at Candler Crossing, plus you're down the road from City of Decatur!
