Apparently, we used to think a billboard was a pretty good way to make a name for ourselves. 😂

But here’s what we’ve learned: the best agents aren’t necessarily the ones with the biggest signs, billboards, or ads. They’re the ones with the strongest relationships.

Before we get carried away with pumpkin spice, football, and bonfires… let’s squeeze in a few more lake days. ☀️

Because honestly, why choose?

We can have the pumpkin spice and the boat days.
Football and sunset cruises.
Bonfires and one more afternoon floating on the lake.

That’s the beauty of living around Lake Norman.. there’s always another season to enjoy, but there’s no reason to rush the one we’re in. 🤍

So bring on fall… but first, give us a few more lake days, please 🙏

THE WEST SIDE of LAKE NORMAN IS GROWING 👀

If you’ve been around Denver or Sherrills Ford lately, you’ve probably noticed things are changing. New businesses, new housing, new amenities, and major community projects are reshaping the area we call home.

Here are a few of the developments we’re watching:

🏟️ LINCOLN CHARTER SPORTS COMPLEX
📍 Old Plank Rd | Iron Station
The planned 87-acre campus will feature a football stadium and track, athletic fields, tennis courts, cross-country trails, and a performing arts center. The stadium is expected to open in fall 2027.

🏘️MIXED USE DEVELOPMENT | PROXIMITY DENVER
📍Pilot K**b Rd | Denver
A 30.4-acre development was approved for 324 apartments, a 12,000-square-foot childcare center, and a 6,500-square-foot medical office building.

🏥 NOVANT HEALTH EMERGENCY DEPT
📍 NC 73 & N. Ingleside Farm Road
Novant Health has received approval to build a new 24-bed community hospital in the Denver area, bringing expanded healthcare services to the growing East Lincoln community.
Expected to open in 2031.

📚 EAST LINCOLN BRANCH LIBRARY
📍 Highway 73 | Iron Station
A new 22,000-square-foot library is under construction, with completion expected in fall 2026.

🌯 CHIPOTLE IS COMING

The former Habit Burger location is getting a new tenant with a Chipotle coming to Denver.

🏡 A NEW 55+ COMMUNITY
📍 NC 73 near Ingleside Farm Road
A newly approved 93.8-acre active-adult community from Epcon Communities will feature up to 118 age-restricted homes near East Lincoln High School.

🛍️ TERRELL TOWN CENTER
📍 NC 150 & Sherrills Ford Road
A new grocery-anchored shopping center is coming to Terrell, bringing retail, medical services, dining, and more to the growing area.

So how did The Christopher Lauren Group happen?

Easy. A little bit of Chris, a little bit of Lauren, and one groupie who decided to make the leap.

Okay, okay.. Lauren was NOT a groupie.. she just knew how to make an impression.

Chris has called Lake Norman home since 1999 and is still the lead guitarist for Simplified.

Lauren moved here in 2007 after building a career in NASCAR.

Both moved here from the Midwest… and let’s just say the football rivalry is still very much alive.

Two very different backgrounds that somehow led to marriage, business partners, and eventually building a real estate business together.

Chris was a little more comfortable with the entrepreneurial leap. Lauren? Not quite as much.

But we took the leap, trusted God, and He has continued to provide.. opening doors and putting some pretty incredible people in our path along the way.

And looking back, we can see how much of what we learned before real estate has shaped what we do today.

We know how to connect with people, build relationships, build a brand, market aggressively, negotiate hard, think on our feet, handle pressure, create opportunities, and surround ourselves with great people.

We know what it takes to show up, stand out, and get things done, and most importantly, we know how to be ourselves.

Those experiences give us a perspective that’s a little different from your typical real estate team, and we think our clients benefit from every bit of it.

For more than 20 years, we’ve watched Lake Norman grow and change. We’ve built our lives here, built our network here, and somehow still love calling this place home.
