5 Do Not's When Getting Ready to Sell Your Home:

Converting your garage into living space
More square footage sounds appealing, but eliminating a garage can seriously hurt resale value. Parking is one of the first things buyers search for, and in many markets a converted garage can shrink your buyer pool significantly. The added space also typically does not appraise the same as true livable square footage.

Overdoing the landscaping
