100 seats to go! 🌸

Registration for the Cake Gala closes tomorrow, Friday, at 3:00 PM. Every seat in that room stands for one of the 600 women on our waitlist in May, and we would love for one of them to be yours.

Tickets are $150, and a table of eight is $1,000. Bring your friends, your coworkers, your people.

Thank you, Thistles

Every centerpiece in that ballroom on November 6 is coming from Thistles, out of Pella, as an in kind gift. Six hundred seats worth of tables, made beautiful by people who simply wanted to.

We are so grateful.

Thank you, East Village Spa.

East Village Spa is standing with the women of The Beacon as a 2026 Cake Gala Community Sponsor. Small businesses who give like this are giving from a different place than anyone else, and we feel it.

We cannot wait to celebrate with you on November 6.

Bud & Mary’s Cannabis’s is an Ally Sponsor of the 2026 Cake Gala.

They work with Iowans living with chronic pain, cancer treatment and other serious conditions. Some of the women we support live with those same things.

They are also where our DJ came from. Jazz is donating the entire night of music on November 6.

Thank you, Bud & Mary’s.

Every woman who graduates from The Beacon leaves with the same things.

Stable income. Health insurance. A primary care provider. Financial coaching. At least $600 in savings. Permanent housing.

Not a brochure. A life she can hold onto. That is what November 6 pays for.

Because so many of you asked, we’re extending Cake Gala registration! 🌸

You now have until Friday, October 30 at 3:00 PM to get your tickets. Sales close right at 3:00 so we can give Prairie Meadows our final count.

We have a few seats left, and we would love to fill them with you. Our waitlist reached 600 women in May, and we’re so close to filling 600 seats on November 6.

Thank you to everyone who has already said yes. Your support helps create the environment where women build lasting independence.

Already have your tickets? Please make sure every guest’s name and meal choice is in by Friday too.

Tickets are $150: https://secure.qgiv.com/event/cakegala2026

One of the women we support just got a job. 🎉

She starts soon, and she needs work shirts to wear to it. Navy polos, size 3XL, are on our Amazon wish list marked high priority.

It is a small thing that means a lot. Showing up on day one in the right uniform, feeling ready and proud of herself, is part of building a life she gets to keep.

If you can help, the shirts are here: https://a.co/0gKGLJi0

Thank you for cheering her on with us.

Today is the last day to register for the Cake Gala.

Registration closes tonight. After that we hand our final count to Prairie Meadows and the room gets set, and we cannot add seats after that.

In May, 600 women were on our waitlist. Every seat filled on November 6 is part of how we say yes to more of them.

If you have been thinking about it, think about it for five more minutes and then come.

To our Empower Sponsors: Community State Bank, Simonson + Associates Architects, Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines, Timmer, Judkins & Borland, VisionBank, Freedom Financial Bank, Des Moines Wh***ey Fest, and Kiernan Development .

Five companies put $5,000 behind the women of The Beacon this year. That is not a line item for them. It is a decision someone made on purpose.

Thank you. We cannot wait to have you in the room on November 6.
