If you say you want donuts, you’re gonna get donuts!
I had the honor of helping Ella and Jarek buy their Florida home, and since everything was done virtually, I don’t have a picture of us, but want to tell their story. Cause it’s a good one!
I was referred them by Peter Oswald, an agent in the Boston area. When we first met on Google Meet, they were a little hesitant about committing to an agent because of a past experience where someone had been very pushy and pressured them.
I assured them I am not that way, and in good faith, I sent over a buyer representation agreement that expired after one week so they wouldn’t feel locked in.
They planned a trip from MA to look at one specific community where they already had a family member living. We made plans to meet early one morning, and Jarek jokingly said he wanted donuts for breakfast.
When we finally met in person, we hit it off. We toured what was available in the community, but nothing caught their eye. Since they were heading back north, everything moving forward would need to be done virtually.
But before they left, of course I had donuts for Jarek.
Shortly after, Ella asked me to send another buyer representation agreement. This time, she didn’t want it to expire. That meant a lot.
I got to work looking for their perfect condo. I sent letters to owners in the community asking if anyone had interest in selling and gathered insider info on listings coming soon so we could get a jump on them. Still, nothing felt like “the one.”
Originally, they were only considering 2 bedrooms. Then they decided to open their minds to 3 bedrooms, something a family member had also suggested. I never pressure clients to buy more than they want or need, but the second we walked into that 3 bedroom condo, we knew. Ella hadn’t shown that kind of excitement about any of the others.
I negotiated $25,000 off the list price and secured additional credits toward replacing the air conditioner. From start to finish, everything went smoothly.
Ella and Jarek are now the proud owners of their very own home in Holiday, Florida and are finally able to escape those brutal winters up north. I am so excited for them to be here!
