If this is your primary residence, you may qualify to reduce your home’s taxable value by up to $50,000, lowering your annual property taxes and protecting your future with the Save Our Homes cap, which helps limit how much your assessed value can increase each year.

To receive the exemption for this tax year, you must own and occupy the home as of January 1 and apply by the March 1 deadline through your county Property Appraiser’s Office.
