Meijer is helping combat hunger in our community through its Simply Give program! 🍽

You can make a difference too by adding a $10 Simply Give donation card to your cart during your next Meijer trip. These contributions are turned into gift cards that directly support families at Haven House.

In 2025, Haven House provided 25,041 meals for 241 moms, dads, and kids. Together, we can help end hunger in our community.

Michelle is going to third grade and likes Stitch, Moana, KPOP, and Barbie. She also requires a school uniform.

She is one of the dozens of children in our Adopt-a-Child for Back-to-School program this year. Through this program, school-age children in housing within the last year receive new clothing and shoes to prepare them for the upcoming school year. 👚👖

This support helps their parents focus on the families first year of stable housing without the added stress of back-to-school shopping.

🚨Special delivery🚨 The Peoples Church of East Lansing have been long-time supporters of Haven House, and one ongoing partnership has been providing exit packages for up to 10 families transitioning to housing every year.

We continue to be grateful for their support of our mission and the families we serve as they work toward stability. Through the support of our community, families have access to essential necessities without the added financial burden of purchasing these items within their already limited budgets. This assistance helps alleviate immediate needs and allows families to focus on achieving long-term stability.

Exciting news!!! 🎉One shelter family moved into housing! Their hard work helped them reach home.

The family has now entered our Partners in Progress program, where they will continue to receive case management support from our Housing Resource Specialist for the next 14 months.

Since 2019, volunteers from 242 Community Church have been making a meaningful impact at Haven House. Their support has included painting our office hallways, front office, and client lobby; becoming some of our very first Shelter Grocery Shoppers during COVID-19; helping us pilot what has grown into one of our most popular and impactful volunteer opportunities; and providing monthly freezer meals, including the enchiladas pictured here. Their generosity and dedication have touched our organization in countless ways. 🫶

We are incredibly grateful for their continued partnership and commitment to Haven House and the families we serve.
