I love a seller who wants to prepare, but spending money before you have a strategy can mean fixing the wrong things 🏡

Three things I wish sellers would stop doing: renovating before asking what buyers actually value, choosing every update based on personal taste, and waiting until the house feels “perfect” before calling me.

Sometimes fresh paint, lighting, landscaping, decluttering, or a few repairs will do more for your sale than a major renovation. Other times, there may be something specific worth addressing before we launch. The answer depends on your house, your neighborhood, your timeline, and your likely buyer.

Selling next spring? September is absolutely not too early to start planning. I’d rather walk through the house now and tell you what can wait than see you spend money you didn’t need to spend 📩
