🏡 Market Monday: Don't Let the Interest Rate Make the Decision for You
I hear it all the time:
"I'm going to wait until interest rates come down."
And I understand why. Interest rates absolutely affect what you can afford and what your monthly payment will be.
But here's the other side of that conversation:
None of us knows exactly when rates will come down—or what home prices and competition will look like when they do. 🔮
So instead of asking, "Is this the perfect market to buy?" I think there's a better question:
"Does buying a home make sense for me right now?"
Maybe you need more space. Maybe you're tired of renting. Maybe you're relocating, downsizing, starting a family, or simply ready for a place of your own.
Those things don't stop happening because mortgage rates aren't where we'd like them to be.
Buying today doesn't mean ignoring interest rates. It means looking at the whole picture—your budget, monthly payment, available homes, how long you plan to stay, and what you're trying to accomplish.
And if the numbers don't make sense? You wait.
But if they do, don't automatically let fear of today's rate keep you from a home that works for you.
You can't control where interest rates will be six months or a year from now.
You can understand your options today and make an informed decision based on what's right for you.
That's where good real estate guidance comes in. 💛
