Today is World Bicycle Day. 🚲

For bike lovers, know you'll have ample mountain bike trails at your disposal near the Gemenskap Tiny Home Community, but also, there is the 5.5 mile paved Fairplay Greenway trail from Fairplay to Alma (one of the highest paved greenbelts in the world!). And, if you have the stamina to keep going, you can continue over Hoosier Pass (1,542 feet elevation) and ride into Breckenridge. From Breck, you can then ride the Blue River Recreational Path for 9 miles into Frisco.

Lots of great biking in the area with gorgeous scenery to enjoy on your ride. 👍

Yesterday, gemenskäp sponsored a table at the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado 6th annual Big Little Breakfast in Colorado Springs. High school graduates shared their experience as STAR Program mentors- a school-based, peer-to-peer mentoring initiative where high school students mentor younger middle school students. Tyler Carter, a U.S. Paralympian, then spoke about how mentorship shaped his life and encouraged him to pursue a dream to represent the United States in the Paralympics.

gemenskäp fosters community in its 7.5 acre neighborhood, but our reach is much farther than that. gemenskäp financially contributes to organizations doing the important work of building supportive communities across the great state of Colorado. 🥰

So, a random rooster is now living in the neighborhood. We're not sure where he came from but he's decided that the Gemenskap Tiny Home Community is his new home. He is now Ronald the Rooster 🐔 according to the neighbors where he hangs.

Jeremiah's rooster impression may have not been the best, but Ronald did react to the "call." 😂

We've seen bears, coyotes, moose, elk, deer, rabbits...but noone ever expected to see this animal❓in the wild.
