We are married with three daughters. The girls are very involved in athletics taking us all over Northern Virginia to attend games of various kinds. Our daughters attend public and private schools in Northern Virginia. We are actively involved in our local church, and volunteer in the community. Our past careers (Kris – 20 years as an oncology nurse, John 25 years working as Chief of Staff on Capitol Hill) taught us a lot about listening to people. Kris is very good at listening to what a person needs, and she cares about all her clients as if it were her own house. John has become a great negotiator, always working to get the best he can for our clients. We love working together helping people buy and sell their homes. We have very different strengths and really feel like we are a team serving our clients. John is very analytical and very business minded. Kris loves working with people and really taps into the emotions of buying and selling. We want to know what kind of home you are looking for or how we can best showcase the home you are selling. Some real estate stories happen in a weekend. Others take years.

After helping Mike and Debbie buy their townhome, they came back with a very specific goal: help Debbie’s mother, Dot, find something permanent in the same neighborhood so she could stay close to family.

Nothing was available, so we stayed patient. We tracked listings, monitored values, and looked for off-market opportunities.

Eventually, the home right next door became available. By working directly with the owner, we helped both sides agree on a fair price and create a smooth plan.

The seller benefited from lower transaction costs and extra time to move. Dot received a thorough inspection, a carefully managed closing, and even had time to paint before moving in.
