💙 AHEPA Senior Living is proud to announce a first-of-its-kind partnership with KultureCity® to bring sensory-inclusive practices, training, and resources to our nationwide portfolio of 93 affordable independent and assisted living communities.

The initiative will help ensure that residents, families, and visitors who experience sensory sensitivities can enjoy community spaces, programs, and events with greater comfort and ease.

“This partnership is about enhancing comfort and peace of mind not only for our residents, but also for the families and loved ones who visit them,” said Chairman and Acting CEO Ike Gulas.

💙🏥 “Do Yourself a Favor, Take Care of Your Health and Wellness” in Irvington, Alabama 🏥💙

Residents at AHEPA 310 Phase VIII in Irvington did just that! They recently gathered for the community’s Annual Health Fair, themed: “Do Yourself a Favor, Take Care of Your Health and Wellness.”

Residents had the opportunity to connect with a wide range of health and wellness providers and community organizations, including Via Health, Area Agency on Aging, BPSOS, Rising Pheenix CDC, USA Stroke Health Program, The Center for Healthy Communities, Mercy Life, Seniors & Disabled Insurance, and Bayou Pharmacy.

The event featured blood pressure and glucose screenings, games, prizes, and an interactive walk-through brain display provided by USA Health. Residents also received gift cards for participating in the day’s activities. 🎉

Thanks to the support of AHEPA, Greer’s, Sugar Rush, and Hemley Road Church, residents and vendors enjoyed food, desserts, and beverages throughout the event.

As we continue celebrating Older Americans Month and this year’s theme, “Champion Your Health,” events like these empower residents through education, prevention, wellness, and community connection. 💙

☀️🌿 A More Comfortable Patio Space in Bloomington, Minnesota 🌿☀️

Residents at Penelope 35 Phase II Apartments in Bloomington, Minnesota are enjoying a refreshed outdoor patio space thanks to the generosity of community partners. 💙

The new sun sail and patio umbrella are helping provide much-needed shade for residents who have wanted a more comfortable outdoor gathering space for quite some time. 😊

A special thank you to Perk Up Kitchen for generously donating the patio furniture and planters that helped bring the space to life. 🌸

These thoughtful additions are already creating a more welcoming environment where residents can relax, connect, and enjoy the outdoors together.

💙🏥 Health, Wellness & Community Connection in Columbia, South Carolina 🏥💙

Residents at AHEPA 284 Phases II & III Apartments in Columbia recently came together for a meaningful health fair that brought smiles, energy, and connection back to the community.

In fact, residents haven’t smiled this much since the community’s well-received Prom event a few years ago. ✨

The event created a much-needed moment of positivity and engagement, while also highlighting the dedication of the onsite team and their continued investment in the success and growth of these communities.

The renewed energy throughout the buildings has been noticed not only by residents, but also by staff from neighboring properties, vendors, and community partners. 💙

As we continue celebrating Older Americans Month and this year’s theme, “Champion Your Health,” moments like these remind us that wellness also includes connection, joy, and community spirit.
