Today we honor Juneteenth. 🇺🇸

On June 19, 1865, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation, the last enslaved Americans in Galveston, Texas finally learned they were free. Freedom delayed, but freedom claimed.
Juneteenth is a day to reflect on how far this country has come and how much that freedom was worth — and still is. It's about resilience, dignity, and the long work of building something lasting for the generations who come after us.
As someone who has spent a career in service — to my country, my community, and now to the families I help put down roots — I believe few things honor that legacy more than building a home and a future you can pass on.
