AI and Google are incredible tools for researching a move—but real estate is local, and nothing replaces local knowledge. 🏡
When I’m helping someone explore a new community, I want them to look beyond the house itself.
Where are the closest hospitals and doctors?
How convenient is the shopping?
What are the transportation options?
What will your everyday routine actually look like?
Because, as I like to say, you’re not buying a sweater. A home and a community can affect your lifestyle for years, maybe even decades.
That’s why I always encourage people to ask themselves one simple question:
“What does life look like on Tuesday?”
It’s easy to fall in love with an area while visiting for a weekend or spending a week on vacation. But what happens on an ordinary Tuesday morning? Where are you going? What do you need nearby? Can you picture yourself actually living there?
Use AI, Google, and real estate websites to do your research. I absolutely encourage it. But also talk with a knowledgeable local real estate professional and, when possible, take an area tour before making such a significant decision.
