One of the most interesting parts of owning a short-term rental has been learning how differently people book vacations. As someone who loves spreadsheets, planning ahead, and having all the information possible, I've been surprised by how many bookings happen at the last minute!

Over the past couple of years, we've seen rates sometimes drop closer to travel dates—but we've also seen them go up. That's the challenge with waiting for a better deal. Pro-tip: You can walk to AJ's for dinner, and then not feel guilty about hitting Okaloosa National Mini Golf & Ice Cream for ice cream on the way home!
