He's been at the top of this board. He came back for more.❤️

Meet Alan Buck, Board Member at Vincent Village.

Alan first served VV as Board Chair. In 2024, he returned—focused on events and community engagement—because the work wasn't done.

Ask him what makes VV special?

"Children. Residents are families."

Four words. The whole mission.

"We've been housing homeless families for 35 years," he adds. "And it isn't going to stop."

Splashing, building, coding, and creating! ☀️💦🤖

Our Vincent Village Summer Program is giving youth opportunities to learn, explore, and grow through exciting hands-on experiences. This week, students cooled off at the splash pad and put their creativity and problem-solving skills to work with LEGO® STEAM and AI kits, building and programming robots while developing skills that will prepare them for the future.

These moments are possible because of a community that believes in our children.

A heartfelt thank you to the Christ Child Society for their generous donations and continued support. Your investment helps provide enriching experiences that spark curiosity, build confidence, and open doors to new possibilities for the youth we serve.

Together, we’re creating a summer filled with learning, laughter, and opportunity. ❤️

Every child at Vincent Village has somewhere to be this summer.

And this summer—they just want to be kids.

While their families take the next steps toward permanent housing, VV's youngest residents are doing what every child deserves: outdoor programs, activities, and waking up in the same safe place every single morning.

Stability isn't just for adults. It's the foundation every childhood needs.

Fort Wayne, you make that possible. ✨

She joined because the mission was right down the street. She stayed because it never let her go. 💛

Meet Tabitha Ervin, Board Member at Vincent Village and COO at the Fort Wayne YMCA.

Tabitha has been part of the VV community for over 12 years—showing up for families, shaping programs, and lending her voice to a mission she believes in deeply.

Ask her what she's learned?

"Never take what you have for granted. We could all be one circumstance away from the position some of these families are in."

That's what drives the work. And it's what keeps people like Tabitha at the table, year after year.

When a family is facing homelessness, the last thing they should lose is each other.

But across the country, most emergency shelters separate parents by gender—moms in one room, dads in another. Kids go where there's space.

In Allen County, Vincent Village is the only transitional shelter that keeps families together—including two-parent households and single-father families with children.

Because crisis is hard enough. Doing it alone, sleeping in different buildings, is harder.

When you support Vincent Village, you're not just funding shelter. You're keeping a family in the same room, eating the same dinner, and walking the same hallway—until they walk back into a home of their own.

Today, we remember. 🇺🇸

Memorial Day is a day to honor the lives of those who gave everything in service to our country.

From all of us at Vincent Village — to the families who carry their memory, and to the communities who hold them close — thank you for keeping their stories alive.

We're grateful, and we're remembering with you today.

She gets to watch families take flight. 💛

Meet Giselle Jackson, Resident Advisor at Vincent Village.

Every day, Giselle walks alongside families through one of the hardest—and most hopeful—seasons of their lives.

"What I love most is watching a family come to the shelter and transition to the next phase, moving into a home—like a butterfly."

That's the quiet magic of this work. Sometimes it looks like a parent unpacking a box in their own kitchen for the first time in years.

When you support Vincent Village, you're part of that moment too.

Some contributions go beyond a sponsorship—and they deserve their own thank you. 💛

We are so grateful to Whatzup, Bishop Dwenger High School and Copper Canyon Tobacconist for the special roles they played in making Racing Towards Home 2026 truly unforgettable.

From featuring our event in print to donating beautiful decorations to hosting an outdoor experience our guests won't forget—you brought this night to life in ways that went above and beyond.

Thank you. This mission is better because this community shows up. 🏇

There's a reason we're called Vincent Village. 💛

A village isn't built in a moment. It's built by people who keep showing up—quietly, faithfully, every month.

This week we've talked about what monthly giving really is: a steady seat at the table for families working toward stability. Today, we're inviting you to take that seat.

Becoming a Villager isn't about the size of your gift. It's about choosing to walk alongside Fort Wayne families for as long as they need you.

Whatever you can give, whenever you can give it—the Village holds space for you.
