We're are gearing up for another big Day of Service at Presbyterian Night Shelter!

This year's event is sponsored by Lockheed Martin and will take place on Saturday, October 24, 2026 from 8:00am-12:00pm and we will tackle some big projects all around our 7-acre campus. We are still looking for Project Sponsors and for volunteer groups. If you would like to sign your group up to volunteer, please email Shawanda Kennedy, Volunteer Engagement Manager at [email protected].

These supportive housing communities are providing much needed stability for our residents exiting homelessness, helping to keep them housed and safe. We're out looking for signs to support Presbyterian Night Shelter this North Texas Giving Day and there are plenty to be found! We found some in our Journey Home Guide office. Journey Home Guides are our case managers who help our guests make a plan to exit homelessness, connecting them with resources and support along the journey. They are a vital key to the success of guests as they navigate their path from homeless to home.

Friends, we want to take a moment to say a heartfelt “Thank You!” to all of you who have stepped in to help us with our urgent needs request, due to the fire in one of our storage facilities. The response in monetary donations, as well as In-Kind donations from our Amazon wish list, has been incredible. The care and support of our community of generosity is truly special. We will continue to assess the scope of everything that was in the storage unit and will update our needs list as necessary.

With regards to the fire, we are thankful that no one was injured. The unit contained donated items that were being stored for use this Fall and Winter by our Shelter guests and Housing residents. Fortunately, there were no guests’ belongings in the unit. While no details have been released yet, we are working closely with the Fort Worth Fire Department to determine the cause and will share those details when they are conclusive.

Again, to all of you who care so deeply about Presbyterian Night Shelter and the guests we serve, thank you for the tremendous support.
