At the Chiswick, all 103 units feature luxurious finishes, with spacious floor plans and kitchens furnished with quartz counter-tops, farmhouse sinks, and gas ranges. The Chiswick was inspired by the architectural detail style of English arts and crafts. More specifically, the development was influenced by the work of Charles Voysey, a renowned architect of several English counter houses and a designer of wallpapers, fabrics, and furnishings. We believe that working with an identified architectural style not only offers a cohesive, high quality design across multiple buildings, but it can also create the sense of community.
Thoughtful consideration was taken in the architectural and site design in order to match the residential feel of the surrounding neighborhood as well. The development invokes a residential feel with attractive building massing and architectural design, drawing on colors and materials found on single-family homes in the area.
The buildings were carefully designed to incorporate “embedded cottages: where defined sections of the facade are distinguished by stone masonry to create the feel of smaller, characterful homes within the larger building. The exterior features cottage shingles and pitched roofs, an attractive palette of limestone and clapboard siding; floor-to-ceiling windows; and wrought-iron like balustrades.
