Some homes hold more than memories, they hold generations.

3585 Ridgewood Pt was built in 1986 and has been home to Ed and Carol ever since.

Two sons were raised here. A room was added years later just for their granddaughters, who love this house every bit as much as their dad did.

I actually met Ed and Carol as buyers first, helping them find their next home back in January. But before that new chapter could begin, this one had to close and it closed beautifully. Cared for down to every detail, it found a new family within weeks.

Ed and Carol have since settled into a one-level home, ready for a simpler season.

New construction homes still require a home inspection.

Thanks to our Home Inspection Expert, Richard Smith, we know this to be true.

He says that about 10% of the time, he finds a really big UH‑OH on a new construction home.

If you’re purchasing a new construction home, a home inspection is recommended.

Sell. Buy. Sell again… and then find the one.

That’s been Margo’s journey, and I’ve had the privilege of walking through each step with her.

A couple of years ago, we sold her home in Braselton.

After that, she spent some time living in an apartment, giving herself space to figure out what she wanted next.

Then life shifted.

Margo got engaged, and with that came a new vision for home.

At first, they were searching in the mountains.

But as it often happens, the right home showed up somewhere they didn’t expect.

Right in Flowery Branch.

A beautifully renovated Cape Cod, just minutes from downtown, that felt like the perfect fit for this season.

From Flowery Branch… to Braselton… and back again.

But this time, everything looked different.

That’s what I love about this story.

Life doesn’t always move in a straight line.

But when the timing is right, things have a way of falling into place exactly as they should.
